School Violence in OECD countries

Violence against children is an outrageous violation of their fundamental rights. Education is supposed to unlock children's potential, not condemn them to an uncertain and vulnerable future. Violence in schools ruins the one real chance of a better and more prosperous life for many children, and denies the communities and countries of a vital national asset. This problem is not confined to the developing world though and this report reviews research on school violence in OECD countries, it's political contexts and possible responses. It contributes to Plan International's global 'Learn Without Fear' campaign and report.
