A NEW STUDY has found that 20 per cent of Irish teenagers have been bullied online.

The Medical Independent reports that a survey of three secondary schools in north Dublin found that out of 130 students, 24 felt they have been victims of cyberbullying.
Sixty five per cent of those felt it had a negative effect on their mood, while 45 per cent said it had a negative impact on their mental health.
The study was carried out by St. Vincent’s Hospital in Fairview, Dublin and examined the potential effects of online bullying on the mental health of a young person.
